The name is keke (pronounced kay-kay) and they are delectable Hawaiian Treats found here: http://www.hawaiiantreats.ca/ at this website. You will never believe how good they are until you try them for yourself.
It starts with just the right blend of a Hawaiian sweet donut dough. This dough is then dropped in round globs into a deep fryer and specially fried to perfection. Then they are rolled in icing sugar. A heavenly coconut sauce, kind of like a thin icing but not as sweet is available for dipping. But the keke taste so good on their own, you hardly need the coconut sauce for dipping. It's amazing.
Our local farmer's market is where the crew hangs out, and you can better believe that the table is busy. Once you taste the keke you can never get enough. It would be a sin to compare them to donuts because they are literally so much better!
