Fingernail art, surround me - Nail Art Design
These nails look too good to be true! I just want to eat them. I have never seen anything like this before in my life, and I just love them! I wonder how long they would last before they started looking like someone nipped at the cheese nips or dipped into the doritos?

Hungry Baby Kitten (Cute, cute, cute)
This is both cute and funny at the same time. I'm sad the poor little guy doesn't have a mom to feed him though. The milk in that syringe looks kind of yellow. I wonder if it's a special formula of some kind. Anyway the little kitten has such a face full of white whiskers. That's one of the things that makes him so dang cute.

Kettle Corn Recipe
My family LOVES kettle corn. I don't know if it's because kids like sweet things, or what. Actually I admit I like it too. And I don't generally have a sweet tooth. But that's just the way it goes. I really love kettle corn. It is worth a try. Maybe you've had it at a fair or flea market or somewhere and wondered if you could make it at home. Well, you can. If you use white sugar, it tastes like popcorn balls. If you use brown sugar, it tastes like caramel corn. Sooooooooooo good!

Kids Lunchboxes: Kids Lunchboxes with Plastic Food Containers
Okay, these lunch boxes with a spot on top for a thermos or water bottle are really cool! I love baggie-free lunches, and I have purchased quite a collection of lock-and-lock containers for my kids' lunch kits. I like them a lot because I never have leaks.
The only thing I don't love about the containers shown above is that they don't look waterproof, and I can see that all the food they packed is dry, non-leaky food.
I like to put canned peaches, applesauce, etc. in my kids' lunch-kits, and since I don't buy individuals of apple sauce, I need small containers that are leak-proof.

Scorpion Buying & Care : How to Buy a Pet Scorpion
I love scorpions, they are so cute. I don't care if they're insects. They feel so soft and their little feet feel like a cotton swab is barely touching your hand. The ones I have held at the pet stores are usually black and red. This all black one is kinda cute though.
And scorpions live quite a while, too. About 6-8 years actually, which is longer than hamsters (2 years) guinea pigs (4-6 years).
Scorpions are easy to care for, don't stink, are friendly, and cheap to feed. I guess if you catch your own crickets you can feed them for free. :-)
Research Resources
This little blue bird is just amazing! What a gorgeous color. I really like how the photographer captured an image of the outspread wing. The orange breast and white belly are a nice contrast.
I think that looks like a caterpillar in its' beak. Even the round black eyes compliment the entire bird. What an amazing photograph.

Picture of Washington - Mount Rainier National Park, Olympia - Pine trees in Mount Rainier National Park.
This picture is beyond beautiful. My words aren't good enough to attach to it's magnificence.
Instead of doing that, I will try to explain why I like it so much.
I have always loved the silhouette of a tree. It just stops me in my tracks and beckons me to study it. I love seeing each leaf; each pine or each frond. So much detail! I love the unique image each tree makes on a background of a different color or shade.
I love the rippled silhouettes captured on the surface of the water. They are fuzzy and the detail is no longer visible but the general shape is and I love those almost as much.
Then there is that zig-zag strip of almost white across the center of the water, between both banks of the lake.
And there's more, much more.
But I don't have any words...

Music Star Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher engaged | TODAYS HEADLINES
Okay, I just love Carrie Underwood. She has the voice of an angel and I can't resist her songs. I am not a die-hard country music fan but her songs aren't just country. Plus she is so sweet-looking and looks like she has an absolutely perfect, unmarred complexion. Two of her songs make me cry. They are Jesus Take the Wheel and Temporary Home.
If you are a fan of Carrie's you will know what I mean. If you have never heard her sing, then listen to the songs. The videos are very heart-touching as well.
Wild Animals | Pictures of zoo animals
Are animals in the zoo happy? Well, that's a good question. How can you gauge an animal's happiness? How can you tell if it misses the great outdoors? Just because you don't see them crying or telling you they miss running around free, doesn't mean we can assume they love zoo life.
This tiger looks like it is having fun, but I wonder how the ball doesn't get popped?
It is a hard thing to balance out, this issue of having zoos at all. I think they help people appreciate animals they would otherwise never, ever see in real life. But is it a good idea? I really don't know.

NewsDaily: Health risk from troubled Japan nuclear plant
I knew that the nuclear power plant damaged by the tsunami was in trouble, but I wasn't aware until now that it has been leaking radioactive substances for nearly two months now. People living within a 12 mile radius have already been evacuated, while those downwind of the plant have been told to prepare to leave their homes.
Authorites have been struggling to bring it under control. So far they are claiming that the levels are very low, in fact lower than background radiation. However, radiation poisoning is cumulative, and every little bit you're exposed to increases the risks of getting cancer.
Many other things we are exposed to have greater cancer risks, such as cigarette smote, chemicals, bad eating and drinking habits, etc.
However should the levels of leaking radiation continue or worsen, we could be looking at another Chernobyl.
Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies - Recipes - Food Network Canada
These look so delectable, who can resist? In my opinion, if there's oatmeal in there, they're healthy! So, it's ok if there's sugar, fat and chocolate because the oatmeal cancels all of them out. Am I right? Yes!! In fact, I am headed to the kitchen right now to make some. Maybe a double batch... If you're in the neighborhood and you can smell them cooking, knock on my door and we'll have herb tea and cookies together. Ta-ta for now.

20-Minute Tortilla Soup recipe - Food - Canadian Living
Tortilla soup in 20 minutes! How can delicious ever get easier than that! And it's loaded with nutrition, too. Not only does it taste fantastic, it looks amazing. This brings soup to a whole new level.
I love using a crock-pot, so I would just make this up in the morning and let it simmer all day. If the zucchini gets too soft for your taste in the crock-pot then you can try lightly frying it and adding it in at the last minute just before serving. So yummy!
What I would make to go with this is cornbread- I make mine from a recipe only and not a mix- or a green garden salad. If there are lots of big eaters, you may want to serve both.
Either way, have fun and enjoy a yummy home-cooked meal with your family!

Oahu Tree Snails
Great video to watch which shows some Ecogeeks hunting down some pretty interesting looking bugs. Of course, they don't harm them at all; just trying to educate the world at large of all the amazing species that are sharing the earth with us.
Pony Swim and Auction
Beautiful picture of horses. It really caught my eye. Several of those mares are heavy with foals. You can sure see their sides bulging. What a beautiful collection of colors, and with the green grass, blue water and gray sand in the background, the picture just looks magical.

Texas Imported Fire Ant Research and Management Project
Home > Managing Fire Ants > How can I tell...?How can I tell if I have fire ants?
You can tell you have fire ants if....
You see a mound of fluffy worked soil,
particularly a few days after a heavy rain.
The mound has no opening in the center like most ant mounds. Red imported fire ants leave and enter the mound housing the colony through underground tunnels.
Undisturbed mounds in pastures can reach 18 inches
in height, but most mounds in turfgrass areas are usually just a few inches tall. When you shovel into the colony's mound of soil you see white objects. This is the brood - the eggs, larvae and pupae of developing ants.
Fire ants are small, only about 1/8" to 1/4" long. Variation in size is a distinguishing
characteristic of imported fire ants. Many other ant species are uniform in size.
When you disturb the mound, dozens to hundreds of reddish-brown worker ants crawl up vertical surfaces (like grasses and other objects) on and around the mound. Few native ants charge up vertical surfaces.
If you get stung it feels like being burned. A day or
so later, the imported fire ant's unique venom forms a white fluid filled pustule or blister at the red sting site that is very characteristic - only fire ant venom causes this symptom!
Worker ants bite (with mandibles) and sting (with stingers) aggressively and repeatedly.
For more information:
Yikes! I sure don't want to see one of these on my front lawn...the regular, everyday variety of local ants are annoying enough. What worries me is the look of the person's wrist with those nasty bites on it. Wow! for being so small, they are quite an annoying pest. Undisturbed mounds up to 18 inches high! Ridiculous!! Yet the ants are only 1/8" to 1/4" long. Very tiny!
The stings feel like burns. They fill with white pus. Ants can both bite and sting repeatedly. No thank you. Don't come to my yard.
Marsupial wolf or Tasmanian tiger? Extinct Australian thylacine was more cat than dog, researchers find
Previously thought to belong to the dog species, the thylacine has now been shown to belong to the cat species. Although it's had and jaws resemble wolves, its body is a cat's body, and it hunted like cats do. Sadly the last of its kind died off in a zoo in 1936. It was driven to extinction by the introduction of the dingo to its natural habitat, Australia. The thylacine was a marsupial with a pouch that opened to the back.

The Gray Monk: Dog and Pigs
Okay this is just too cute. The guinea pig under the dog's arm is especially adorable. I love the light yellow puff ball guinea in the front. It looks so soft and cuddly I just can't resist. And the brown one in the back looks like it wants to go under the dog's arm too. How cute!

HardwoodPerfections.com - Home
Wow! I could just live in this room! I could just lie on the floor and smell and feel the perfect natural wood. Absolutely nothing beats that! The quality and craftsmanship are not surpassed anywhere else.
One of the beautiful things about hardwood floors is how they alleviate allergy sources for chronic allergy sufferers.

Video: Dutch footballer signed to professional contract - aged one - Telegraph
Well this clip is just the cutest ever. This little 1 1/2 year old guy was signed to a symbolic "professional contract" after skillfully kicking 3 footballs in a row right into his toy basket. This video got almost a million hits off You tube after his father posted it. What a great little guy. It would be interesting to see where he is in 20 years? Maybe a professional football player or who knows - something totally unrelated like a baker or something. What a cute little fellow though!
AWF: Wildlife Gallery
What a beautiful little bird. This little bee-eater catches wasps, hornets, and especially bees in mid-air. Maybe it likes honey bees best. Ahhhhh... that sweet honey! Well I don't know but I do know that the little guy is very cute. The colorful markings are very unique and I like how the markings over the eyes form a cute little mask with the nose. And the green wings too.
