Who wouldn't want the world's smallest monkey for a pet? As tiny as a mouse...Or how about the worlds smallest snake, as tiny as a quarter when full grown? I never thought I would fall in love with birds as pets, until I went to my local pet food store the other day and they had a love bird. Not just any love bird. This one was hand-raised, and so tame. Not noisy. And very social. They had him out of the cage and he would sit on top of the monitor checking out the customers. She said I could hold him. So I put out my finger and he hopped on. He reached down and covered my hand with kisses. He tucked his head down and snuggled with me. I was smitten. I still am. But we have 2 hamsters and 3 guinea pigs and 8 people in a small 3-bedroom house. (Plus he cost $150). Oh well. I guess our true love was never meant to be...
