This idea of cultivating a potentially lethal virus from bird flu H5N1 is so insane and ridiculously stupid that I can hardly even leave a comment! Sure, they might think that they are keeping this hazard under lock and key, but if someone really wanted it, they could steal it.
Not only that, but you can't control natural disasters. A natural disaster could unleash this deadly virus and cause a lethal human pandemic. Can you imagine? No wonder the WHO - World Health Organization is "deeply concerned!" I am too!
And this isn't something that should be hidden from public view, so we know what's going on. However, like the article states, this also poses a security risk, because we sure wouldn't want some terrorist to get ahold of one of these strains!
